The 9-11 Honor Challenge is an exciting firefighter-themed obstacle race designed to test your grit, strength, and teamwork while honoring the bravery of first responders. Hosted by Beyond the Call, this two-person team event takes place at Station 0 in downtown Wichita, KS, and features a series of physically demanding challenges inspired by real fire ground tasks. From dragging bodies to scaling obstacles, the 9-11 Honor Challenge poses the question: Can you handle what they do? All proceeds from this obstacle race support firefighter health and wellness initiatives. Participants receive a race T-shirt, custom event patch, drawstring bag, and a cold beer from Wichita Brewing Co. at the finish line.
This event, hosted by Beyond the Call around September 11th, serves a dual purpose: to honor the indelible tragedy of 9/11/2001 through the 9-11 Honor Challenge and to raise vital funds for our non-profit. As a health and wellness initiative exclusively for Wichita firefighters, every contribution directly fuels our mission to support their physical and mental well-being, especially through activities like our obstacle race.
